Day 8: Sunday Funday!

When I was younger with zero responsibilities, Sunday Fundays in the Fall meant parking ourselves at a bar, drinking beer and eating wings, nachos and every other bar food that's greasy and delicious.

Now that I'm a grown up (boo) with responsibilities that extend beyond waking up for work on Monday, Sundays look a little different. They're still fun, just a different kind of fun. But, we get to spend them with Max, so that's a good trade-off.

A typical Sunday Funday these days:

8:30am: Max and Mommy hit the grocery store! This was an hour later than our usual time, but sleepyhead Max didn't get up until 7:20am.

Well, now I've seen it all.
Hooked on phonics, Italian-style.

10am-11am: entertain Mr. Max.

12pm: Weekday meal prep while Max naps.

Pears and apples, Max's favorite!

1:45pm: Family furniture shopping! The best part of renovating is shopping and decorating! I can't believe how much ugly furniture there is out there. Puffy red leather sectionals with black plastic cup holders built in? I felt like we were shopping for the Playboy Mansion.

Also? Enough with the fake food on your dining room table sets.
NO one believes this is a real burger and chips.

4pm: Late lunch (early dinner?). Beers and pizza for Mom and Dad, carrot and chickpeas and fruit for Max (poor kid).

And once Max goes to bed, Mommy and Daddy cocktail time!
